ITShield / Trust & transparency
Website Terms
Clear conditions for using our website, reading our security guidance, and choosing tools from our external project directory.
Website guidance, clearly scoped.
These terms cover the public website. Client work has a separate service agreement.
Use tools with permission.
Security guidance and tool listings do not authorize testing of anyone else’s systems.
Know who provides each tool.
Third-party publishers set their own licenses, requirements, and free-edition limits.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
ITShield operates itshield.org. We are headquartered in Türkiye and also carry out work in Syria. Contact us about this website at info@itshield.tech.
These terms explain the permitted use of our public website, Knowledge Hub, and Free Tools directory. Use these resources lawfully and respect the conditions below. If you cannot follow them, please stop using the relevant resource and contact us with any questions.
A paid or agreed client engagement is governed by its own service agreement, statement of work, and any confidentiality or data-processing terms. Those documents define the agreed scope, responsibilities, fees, deliverables, and support arrangements.
2. Using our security guidance
Our articles and explanations provide general information. They do not take account of every organization’s systems, legal duties, or operational constraints, and they do not replace a scoped professional assessment.
Before changing a live system, confirm that the advice fits your environment, consider the effect on users, and prepare an appropriate backup or recovery route. Keep important software and vendor guidance under review; security information can become outdated.
A useful starting point, not a security guarantee. Reading an article, applying a checklist, or using a listed tool does not certify that a system is secure or compliant.
3. Responsible and authorized use
You may read the website, follow its resources, and use its public features for legitimate purposes. You must not use the website or our materials to:
- Access systems, accounts, or information without authorization.
- Disrupt services, submit malicious code, or attempt to bypass access or security controls.
- Impersonate another person or organization, send spam, or submit misleading or unlawfully obtained information.
- Collect or disclose personal information in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
- Run scanning or security tests against ITShield or another organization without appropriate prior permission.
A public website, a downloadable scanner, or an article describing a security technique is not permission to test any system. Obtain authorization from the responsible owner and agree the scope before testing.
4. Free tools and third-party websites
Our Free Tools page is a directory of external projects and publishers. The linked software is provided by those third parties, under their own licenses, terms, support arrangements, and privacy policies. ITShield does not supply a replacement installer or grant rights to third-party software.
“Free” can mean a free edition, a free personal plan, or freely available software with specific license conditions. Paid features, hosting, storage, hardware, or support may still cost money. Check the publisher’s current requirements and the edition that meets your intended use.
We aim to link to official sources, but publishers can change their pages and releases. Check the destination, installation guidance, and software integrity information. Listing a tool does not guarantee every release, promise compatibility, or establish an affiliation with its publisher.
5. Website content and attribution
Content and visual material on this website may belong to ITShield or its respective licensors. Third-party product names, trademarks, and software remain the property of their owners.
You are welcome to link to our public pages and share those links with colleagues. Any use of excerpts must respect applicable law and include clear attribution. Contact info@itshield.tech before republishing substantial material, redistributing illustrations, or implying that ITShield endorses your product or service.
These terms do not restrict uses permitted by mandatory law or the separate license attached to a particular resource.
6. Contact requests and confidential material
Sending a contact form or email requests a conversation. It does not itself create a client relationship, authorize access to a system, or establish an agreed response time. Selecting an urgent option helps describe your request; it is not a promise of continuous monitoring or emergency response.
Provide accurate contact information and share only material you are entitled to disclose. Do not send passwords, private keys, beneficiary records, identity-document copies, or sensitive incident files through the general contact form. Ask us to agree a suitable secure channel first.
If you think you have found a weakness in this website, send a concise, private report to info@itshield.tech. Avoid accessing other people’s data, making disruptive changes, or continuing tests beyond what is necessary to describe the concern. This contact invitation is not authorization for further testing or a promise of a reward.
7. Availability, accuracy, and responsibility
We work to keep the website useful, but pages and services may change, contain errors, or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, public informational resources are provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, fitness for a particular environment, or a particular security outcome.
You remain responsible for your choice of tools and the changes you make to systems you manage. If a recommendation is unclear or the potential impact is significant, obtain suitable professional help before proceeding.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. A client service agreement may contain separate provisions for that engagement.
8. Applicable law and resolving concerns
ITShield is headquartered in Türkiye. These website terms are intended to operate under the laws of Türkiye, subject to any mandatory rules and rights that apply to you. They do not remove non-waivable consumer, privacy, or other statutory protections.
Please contact info@itshield.tech first if you have a question or concern so we can try to address it. The law, jurisdiction, and dispute arrangements for a client project should be set out in its separate agreement.
9. Privacy and changes to these terms
Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved in website visits and contact requests, including external website services and privacy rights.
We may revise these website terms as resources or requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Updates do not, by themselves, alter an existing signed client agreement or remove rights that arose before the change.
